Sports and Entertainment Marketing

SEM I - This specialized course helps students develop a thorough understanding of marketing concepts and theories as they relate to the sports, entertainment, and recreation industries. Students will investigate the components of branding; sponsorships and endorsements, as well as promotion plans needed for sports, entertainment and recreation events. The course also supports career development skills and explores career options. The cooperative education component is available for this course as well as OE.

SEM II - Involves a more in-depth look at the management level in sports, entertainment, and recreation marketing. Students will develop thorough knowledge in developing teams and events as well as planning, promoting, and evaluating those events. The co-op and OE components are available for this course.
